Education

With the local school district, CCI identifies students struggling with reading or other subjects.  Students are invited to participate in supplemental literacy lessons.

With the help of a generous grant from Friends of the Dominican Republic, we were able to open our second literacy center in a local church in one of the most disadvantaged neighborhoods of the community.

Students work through a series of 36 books that teach them all syllable formation in Spanish.    

Generous donations allow us to host a yearly Christmas dinner for our participants.
